トランスコルチン(Transcortin)は、αグロブリンである[5][6][7]。ヒトにおいては、SERPINA6遺伝子でコードされる。コルチコステロイド結合グロブリン(corticosteroid-binding globulin、CBG)やセルピンA6(serpin A6)とも呼ばれる。

機能[編集]

このタンパク質は、コルチコステロイドと結合する性質を持つαグロブリンである。多くの脊椎動物血液における糖質コルチコイド黄体ホルモンにとっての主要な輸送タンパク質である。遺伝子は、遺伝子重複によって進化したと考えられる、いくつかの密接に関連するセリンプロテアーゼ阻害剤(セルピン)を含む染色体領域に存在する[7]

結合[編集]

トランスコルチンは、いくつかのステロイドホルモンと高い割合で結合する。


さらに、 血清中の約4%のテストステロンはトランスコルチンと結合している[11]エストラジオールの一部も同様にトランスコルチンと結合している。

合成[編集]

トランスコルチンは肝臓で合成され、エストロゲンによって合成量が増える[12]

臨床での重要性[編集]

この遺伝子では、突然変異は滅多に起こらない。わずかに4つの突然変異体が記述されており、しばしば倦怠感や慢性痛と関連しているが[13]、これらの症状の機構は未知である。外殻与えられるヒドロコルチゾンは、倦怠感を緩和しない。

肝臓での合成量は、妊娠期には2倍になる。そのため、妊娠期の血液中の非結合コルチゾールの量は、妊娠期以外の約2.5倍になる[14]
