エドワード・ダイカー（Edward Duyker、1955年3月21日 - ）はオーストラリアの歴史家である。現在オーストラリアン・カトリック大学人門学部準教授（honorary professor）で、シドニー大学言語文化研究所フランス研究学部名誉講師（honorary senior lecturer）を兼務。

経歴[編集]

1955年3月21日、オランダ人の父とモーリシャス人の母の8人の子供の長男として生まれる。

1977年にラトゥルーブ大学を優秀な成績で卒業し、1981年にはメルボルン大学で「インドにおける毛沢東主義者のナクサライト運動」という論文にて博士号を授与される。

その後1983年まで首都キャンベラで国防省の情報担当官として勤務。その間、短期間ではあるがブリスベーンのグリフィス大学の講師も勤めた。

1984年にシドニーへ移り歴史家としての活動を始める。

1996年にはモーリシャス共和国より在ニューサウスウェールズ州名誉領事に任命され、2002年までその任にあった。

2007年にオーストラリアン・アカデミー・オブ・ヒューマニティーの会員に選ばれる。[1]
