Served with 32sqn, 614sqn, 601sqn and finally 602sqn.
Retired in 1954 and became a recruiting aid based at RAF Cardington. In 1964 it joined the RAF Colerne museum and remained there until the station closed in 1975, when it moved to Cosford. In July 1978 it went on display at Hendon where it has remained since other than between 1997 and 2003 when it underwent a major restoration at Cardington, Wyton and Cosford. It is painted in genuine 601sqn markings and is seen on display in the main historic hangars at the RAF Museum, Hendon, London.
