ポール・ケネディ

ポール・マイケル・ケネディ（英語: Paul Michael Kennedy 1945年6月17日 - ）は、英国の歴史学者。イェール大学歴史学部教授・同大学国際安全保障研究所所長。専門は軍事史、外交史。

イングランドのタイン・アンド・ウィアに生まれる。ニューカッスル大学卒業後、1970年にオックスフォード大学で博士号を取得する。オックスフォード大学での指導教官はA・J・P・テイラーとジョン・ギャラガーだった。1970年から1983年までイースト・アングリア大学歴史学部に所属し、1983年からイェール大学で教鞭をとる。

王立歴史協会のフェローであり、プリンストン高等研究所の客員研究員やロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクスの教授を務めたこともある。

著書『大国の興亡』は、世界的なベストセラーとなった。
