志村五郎

志村 五郎（しむら ごろう、1930年2月23日 - ）は日本の数学者。プリンストン大学名誉教授。静岡県浜松市生まれ。

盟友であった谷山豊と取り組んだ谷山・志村予想によってフェルマー予想の解決に貢献し、また、アーベル多様体の虚数乗法論の高次元化、アーベル多様体のモジュライ理論とモジュライに対応するCM体上のアーベル拡大を記述する保型関数を構成し、志村多様体論を展開。これによってクロネッカーの青春の夢の一般化を行った（ヒルベルトの23の問題における第12問題への貢献）。
