宮原哲

宮原哲（みやはらあきら、1955年 - ）は、日本のコミュニケーション学者。西南学院大学教授。専門は対人コミュニケーション学、異文化コミュニケーション学、医療コミュニケーション学。

略歴[編集]

1955年福岡県北九州市生まれ。1978年西南学院大学文学部外国語学科英語専攻卒業。1980年ペンシルベニア州立大学（Pennsylvania State University）大学院スピーチ・コミュニケーション学研究科修士課程修了（M.A.）。1983年同大学大学院博士課程修了（Ph.D.）。1982年～1986年ペンシルベニア州立ウエスト・チェスター大学（West Chester University）コミュニケーション学科専任講師、助教授。1986年西南学院大学文学部外国語学科英語専攻専任講師、1988年助教授を経て、1994年教授及び同大学大学院文学研究科英文学専攻教授。コミュニケーション様式の異文化比較、コミュニケーション能力の日本式類型、医療者と患者・家族のコミュニケーション行動などに関する研究を行っている。

1991年～1992年デラウェア大学（University of Delaware）客員研究員。1996年ハワイ大学（University of Hawaii）フルブライト上級研究員。2011年～2014年日本コミュニケーション学会（Japan Communication Association）会長。2011年～2012年日米コミュニケーション学会（Japan-U.S. Communication Association）会長。国際コミュニケーション学会（International Communication Association）、全米コミュニケーション学会（National Communication Association）などに所属する。RKB毎日放送番組審議委員、志免町男女共同参画推進審議会会長も務める。
