カッコウが託卵する理由

について、「ではカッコウが何故托卵をするのかというのは未だ完全には解明されていないが、カッコウ自身の体温を保つ能力が低いためという説が有力である」とありますが、体温の低下は託卵をし始めて自分で卵を温めなくなった事に起因する、適応の副産物と考えた方が良いのではないでしょうか。体温が下がってきて卵を温められなくなったからと言って、代わりに託卵行動が進化するということはないのではと思うのですが。詳しい方いらっしゃいませんか？--Mo-rin 2009年4月15日 (水) 05:20 (UTC)

This analysis, however, would be incorrect. The word is found in the 'Compendium of Chinese Materia Medica', marking it as indisputably Chinese.
